Letter from Ms Given 20/3/20
As of next week the current worldwide emergency situation will bring about a temporary change to our learning community and see us move to online learning. This distance learning will be a new experience for us all but it is a challenge that we have been preparing for and by continuing to work together as a learning community it is a challenge we will succeed with together.
Home Learning Packs have been prepared for each child within our nursery and school, these can be collected from the school office today (Friday 20/3/20). Packs include guides on how to structure to the day in addition to learning activities that have been planned by your child’s class teacher and also further suggested activities and useful websites.
From Monday, all classes will make use of Google classroom to both continue and support learning and teaching and also to keep in daily contact with our pupils and families.
As our Catholic Charter states parents are the first educators of their children but we are also here to support. You can keep in contact in the usual way via email or by telephone. We will address any questions and give any support that our families may need over the upcoming weeks and months. We would ask you not to worry and know that whatever you do the most important thing is that you are also supporting your children during this difficult time. Our lines of communication remain open albeit virtually. Our website will be updated regularly and you can sign up to our twitter account : @holyfamilyrc1
As our faith guides us, let us ask God’s blessing on our school community and others around the world.
Stay safe everyone and we will keep you all in our prayers.
From Ms Given and all Staff of Holy Family RC Primary
