Welcome Back!

Welcome Back!

25th October 2020 0 By Mrs Hendry

We hope that all our families have had a great holiday and we are delighted to welcome everyone back on Monday 26th October. We are really looking forward to term 2 and all the exciting learning opportunities it will bring.

The virus sadly stays with us and we know that this term will bring new challenges.   We are not immune to it, but we will continue to do all we can to mitigate the risks and keep our school community safe. Please be reminded that we still measures in place to help prevent the spread of COVID . The mitigations already in place at Holy Family continue to work well and this has allowed us to keep our school open, as well as keeping our pupils and staff safe.

As a reminder:

Start of the school day – End of the school day

In Term 2, staggered starts and finishes will continue .   We are going to reduce the length of time between groups and monitor its effectiveness.

  • GREEN group: School starts at 9.00am and pupils can be picked up at 3.05pm
  • PURPLE group: School will start at 9.10am and pupils can be picked up at 3.15pm

RETURNING FROM ABROAD

On return to school it is important that every child who has returned from any country on the quarantine list does not return to school until after the 14-day quarantine period has ended.

School uniform

The current guidance is that children should wear clean clothes when coming to school each day so to make this easier for families, and to minimise the pressure of having clean uniform each day, expectations on uniform will continue to be relaxed this term.

PE and Outdoor Learning

Pupils will continue to be allowed to wear PE clothes to school on the days that they have PE. Until the guidance changes, PE will continue to take place outdoors, warm and waterproof clothing will be needed for this.

Outdoor Learning will continue to be a regular feature of our school day. Please remember to ensure that your child has appropriate outdoor clothing and footwear in preparation for going outside especially as we move into the winter months, including having a coat or jacket with them.
