Parental Involvement

Parental Involvement

At Holy Family, we value and promote the importance of parents/carers being involved in their own child’s learning and also in the wider life of the school.   We promote an open door policy where parents are welcomed to support the school in a range of different ways.

We try to keep parents informed of what is going on in the school through newsletters, open days, invitations to school shows, involvement in Parent Council events, class homework diaries and at Parents Evenings.   Throughout the year we also ask for your views on a range of different subjects through questionnaires.   Parents are also invited to induction, transition and Sacramental preparation meetings throughout the session.

Holy Family also has a very active Parent Council who meet to discuss ways to support the school as well as organise events that both parents and pupils can participate in and at the same time raise much needed funds for additional school resources, educational trips etc.

They work in partnership with the school and are always looking for new members.
